In the conjunction with
Salem Ministries of Kisumu,
Kenya
the I AM Here For You
Ministries
is planning on supporting the
vision of turning dead land and
turn it into viable sustainable
farm land. The Salem Ministries
has proven in the area of Bondo,
Kenya that it is possible to
turn this land into a fruitful
and bountiful. In December of
2010 the Salem Ministry cleared
the land of its bush and began
to till the land for planting.
After a season of tomatoes and
cabbage which were used to feed
the orphans a new planting
season of corn was planted in
August and the pictures being
shown are from a trip in the
first week of October.
The Project: 275 widows who have
ownership of over 300 acres of
the same bush land in the Bondo
area. The widows are committed
to remove the bush so to prepare
the land for tilling. The
ministry is looking for support
for the planting seeds,
fertilizer, farming equipment
and water pumps for irrigation
that will turn dead land into a
fruitful and bountiful land of
food.
